STUDIO POLICIES

 STUDIO ETIQUETTE

  • Please arrive 5- 10 minutes before class starts. Due to safety reasons, students will not be permitted to participate in any classes if they are more than 5 minutes late.

  • Please practice good hygiene before coming to class. Your classmates will appreciate it.

  • Do not bring valuables into studio; Sky Kids is no way responsible for your belongings.

  • No food, beverages, or candy allowed in studio. Covered water bottles ok.

  • Please do not wear heavily soiled shoes in studios.

  • Always advise instructor of any injuries.

  • Do not use or attempt to operate stereo equipment.

GENERAL POLICIES

  • No refunds. Studio credit only.

  • All prices and services are subject to change without notification.

ATTIRE

  • Students should wear a leotard that fully covers their back, and leggings that reach their ankles. Students may wear a form-fitting shirt / tank top if they do not own a leotard. All shirts must be tucked in.

  • Remove all jewelry. If a piercing cannot be removed, tape it appropriately during the class. Small earrings are fine.No Zippers or Buttons or Velcro (these tear the equipment.)

  • No long nails are allowed on any aerial equipment. It is a safety issue, plus damage to aerial equipment may occur.

  • Pull all hair back and secured out of the face into a ponytail or braids for ALL classes. 

PAYMENT POLICIES

  •  Reservations are required prior to the program start dates.

  •   No Walk-ups are permitted.

  •  Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or any individual no show/missed days.

  •  Cancellation requests received 2 weeks or less prior to program start date will result in a loss of 50% of the total cost of the cancelled reservation.

  •  Unless The Sky Barre cancels camp, there will be no refunds given.

BEHAVIORAL POLICY

Sky Kids has the right to remove a child from the program at any time. If a continual behavior problem persists, one or more of the following consequences will be enforced:

  • Education staff will discuss the behavior with the camper and the parent/guardian.

  • The student will be given a “time out” or will not be allowed to participate in a subsequent activity.

  •  Parent/guardian will be notified by instructor and the child will be sent home immediately or advised that he/she will not be allowed to return the following day.

Note: There are no refunds when a child’s own behavior requires he/she be sent home

SAFETY AND HEALTH

It is the parent's duty to alert the coaches to any physical, mental, or emotional conditions; this simply allows us to coach your child more effectively. 

  • All parents are REQUIRED  to fill out a health questionnaire and waiver forms prior to camp. If this is not completed before camp starts child will not be able to participate

  • Please do not send sick children to class. Colds, flu, and other contagious diseases occur frequently and spread easily among children. If your child appears to be contagious during a class, you will be called to pick up your child immediately.

  • We require all students to be 24-hours fever free, and 72-hours vomit free before returning to class. 

  • The safety of our students is a priority. If a student is injured during class, all activity will be stopped and the incident will be documented. In case of a serious injury, the parents will be notified and 911 will be called immediately. 

  • For the safety of our students, we ask that a parent or guardian walk students into the studio as well as be present at the end of class to pick them up. Students are to remain inside the building while waiting to be picked up. 


PICK UP PROCEDURES

A person must be on the approved pick up list with valid ID to pick up a child, no exceptions!

MEDICINE

Campers are not allowed to bring any medication; prescription or over the counter to classes. The only exception is an Epi-pen and an inhaler. If your child brings an Epi-pen or an inhaler, it needs to be clearly labeled with his/her name on it. If your child has severe allergies or conditions that require special attention, please make sure to note that on your child’s health form.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Sky Kids will make every effort to contact students if classes are cancelled due to inclement weather. Our primary way of communication is via email, text message, and then by phone if necessary. Please make sure your student profile is up to date. Classes can be cancelled due to inclement weather, in which case the Sky Kids will notify participants of the cancellation as soon as possible prior to the program. If this happens, a full refund will be issued for the cancelled day OR make up class will be scheduled

CLASS CALENDAR

Class calendar is subject to change at any time. Instructors are subject to change at any time.

MEDICAL ROLLOVER

Should student become injured during any of the sessions you must notify Sky Kids immediately and provide a written note from your physician. Your classes must be used within one year from purchase date (as long as you are paid in full). A written release from your physician is required to resume classes.
